[摘要] As I mentioned last month,the 2024 Día Program Registry form is open.ALSC invites libraries,schools,and community organizations to register their upcoming programs.The national registry provides a searchable database showcasing all types of programs that highlight El día de los niños/El día de los libros(Children’s Day/Book Day)and Diversity In Action.In addition,the Día Program Registry provides a space where planners can share diversity programming ideas and best practices with colleagues around the country.

Several 2024 programs have been added to the directory already.Check out the registry map to see how other libraries around the country are celebrating Día.

English&Spanish Booklists for 2024 Día!

This year ALSC is very pleased to announce that the Día booklists will be available in English and Spanish.They will be available within the next couple weeks on the Día webpage.Also coming very soon to the webpage are colorful graphics to use on social media to promote your 2024 Día activities.

2024 Día Grants Available

The Center for the Study of Multicultural Children’s Literature(CSMCL),which advocates for multicultural children’s literature,is offering a$600 grant in selected multicultural children’s books to a library serving children and their families that is holding a Día library program with an African American focus.The grant is funded by CSMCL in partnership with ALSC and author Pat Mora,the founder of Día.Applications are due Thursday,February 1.For eligibility,criteria,and application information,please visit the CSMCL website.

REFORMA,the National Association to Promote Library&Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish Speaking,a founding partner of Día,awards up to five mini-grants of$500 to support a Día program that celebrates Latino/x/éculture.The application deadline is Wednesday,January 31.Complete details and the application are available on the REFORMA website.
